Bull Trout

A perfect campsite, quiet, remote, and well-managed. Big thanks to the dedicated campground host who has turned the place around during her time there. I'll be back!

Bull trout is awesome, we go every year. Camp host Beth is the best!

Bull Trout and Martin Lakes are beautiful, and the forest right around the lakes avoided burning. The campground is big, though we were in the horse camp area and it is roomy but far from the other areas. The big problem is that the pit toilets hadn't been pumped ALL SUMMER, so several toilets were unavailable for use. The camp host did her best to keep things clean, but an overflowing toilet can't be used, no matter what. I know that volunteer groups do most of the trail maintenance, which is considerable, so it seems like the FS could get up there to pump toilets once or twice a summer.

Bull Trout is a nice campground with a very involved camp host, this may be viewed positively or not but she cares. The downside and it is not the campgrounds fault is apparently due to budget cuts they are not getting the bathrooms pumped out and a number were closed to to being full.

It would be nice if the campground had more restricted hours for generator use ( maybe 2 hours in am and 2 hrs in evening), or at least made all the Martin and Bull Trout lake side sites NON generator use, as the continuous hum of generators really takes away from the peacefulness of enjoying the lake and outdoors. With advancements in solar power, there really should not be generators being used in the outdoors. If you need that.....stay at home.

Camped at Martin Lake in the Bull Trout Lake complex. Have been coming here over 30 years. The lake was fished out, but caught some beautiful rainbows over at Bull Trout. The camp host, Beth, is passionate about the Lake and pleasantly enforces rules when necessary. We shared a few meals with her. We appreciate being able to procure firewood from her and the vault toilets were cleaned and stocked every day. We come to this complex because motorized toys like boats and jet skis are not allowed; unfortunately, however, generators are allowed and can be run from 6am to 10pm. Some campers seemed to take that as a challenge and did run their noisemakers most of the day, even when they weren't even in their camps. It's hard to relax and enjoy the great outdoors when you are forced to listen to 3 or 4 of them running all day.

Don’t understand why the road into the campground isn’t maintained. 2 mi of terrible road is very hard on trailers and equipment. Please fix this entrance into the campground.

Beth, camp host, was great. Toilets clean and well stocked. We were there for 6 days and never had any issues.
