What Guests Are Saying
Cozy Cove offers spacious sites with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. However, some areas, particularly Site #1, have been severely affected by fire damage, raising safety concerns. Visitors should be aware of limited amenities, such as no water access and potential hazards, but the overall experience can be enjoyable with proper preparation.

Unfortunately we never made it to the campground cause the road was closed. But, we ended up finding a beautiful free spot along a creek near by. Had a great time!

Didn’t even get to go because the road on Scott mountain road was closed

I enjoyed my stay at Cozy Cove. Just like I remembered it. One important improvement would be to replace the sign for the campground

Cozy Cove is about 75% burnt from the Bull Dog/Nellie fire last year. The #1 spot we reserved is completely burnt and not safe. They should not be using it all. There is stacks of wood in the tent spots, the table is broken off with rebar sticking out, and the few burnt trees they left standing are a hazard when the wind blows. This spot should be closed. It’s not safe.

COZY COVE SPOT 1 IS BURNED REALLY BAD, BUT THEY STILL CONTINUE TO RESERVE AND TAKE YOUR MONEY. IT IS DANGEROUS, UGLE, AND HAS NO SHADE. ABSOLUTLY DISCUSTED ON HOW OUR FOREST LAND IS MANAGED.

The fires to the South of the campground were really bad but on a good thing. I think they killed all the horse flies and mosquitoes in the area.

This campsite is very far in, and is somewhat limited for larger campers. We were unhappy with the site location and amenities and instead found a free spot with better water access.

Spacious site with beautiful views. We have tent camped in the area for 18 years. Finally brought our camper up and was well worth the effort. Site was private with plenty of space for the kids and dogs to play. The beach was also easily accessible.

We stayed over 4th of July.
It was nice and quiet.
No cell service
No trash
No camp host
Water pump was broken. Bring your own water.
Lots of snakes swimming in the water and along the shoreline.
The reservoir had a funny smell to it. I had to wash our swim suits 3x to get rid of the smell.

Everything went great but there's some notes I'd like to leave just for the next person!
There's a little Island you can paddle out too (we brought paddleboards) that has a man made fire pit, next time we go we might try and camp there and I highly recommend checking it out.
Trailers were a bit of a tight squeeze and we had to reserve a second campground since we brought a tent trailer and an RV. I definitely don't recommend trying to fit more then one rv, tent trailer, camper, etc in one campground because there are rocks that block off where you can park them.
The water spicket was turned off for the season but the handle was being brought in the week after we were there so bring extra water just in case, our camp host was awesome though and came and checked that we had enough drinking water because of this!
The roads are washboard the whole way there if you come in through Lowman/Stanley, be ready, take an ibuprofen for your back and you're set!
Loved it here can't wait to check out the other campsites.
