What Guests Are Saying
Mountain View campground offers a beautiful setting by the South Fork of the Payette River, with generous, well-maintained sites and easy river access. Many visitors appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views, along with nearby hiking options. Extremely helpful when calling about reservations and to sign up for the senior discount card. Nice campground, clean toilets, and a camp host. A lovely campground to return to.

Loved site 10. Direct river access and tucked back a little bit for some privacy. Partial shade depending on time of day. Right by the bathroom. Not far from trash or water. We had a great time and will come back!

Campground is right along the river. Traffic dies down after 5 and it becomes nice and quiet.

Right off the road and NONSTOP vehicle noise all night (still pretty loud even down by the river). Not much shade for a lot of the sites, but I’m sure that helped keep the bugs down.
Not the best campground if you have active kids that want to ride bikes since it’s so small, but it was clean at least. River access was good/easy but the recent landslide really muddied up the river.
Fortunately Julie Creek Trail and some forest service roads are nearby for hiking and bike riding.

Always a great place to camp!
Did need to encourage the camp host to clean the bathroom and resupply toilet paper. After a friendly talk he got right on it. We so appreciated that action.

We always have a wonderful time here. Been coming here for 35 years. Something is wrong with the camp host the past two years. Never see him. Never refills the toilet paper, good thing we know where it is and filled up the campground for the people there. Never cleans the bathrooms. Yall should find a better host.
