I enjoyed the stay overnight. Facilities were adequate and comfortable with a nearby restroom. I thought the sites might have been spaced out a bit more, but the campers on both sides of us were quiet and respectful. It was a plus that the campground was also a site of one of many hot springs in the area which we hiked down to about 1/4 mile. First a dip in the hot spring and then a cool down in the river! Nice natural addition to the campsite!!

Only 1 other person there first week of August - but smoke was a little bad.
I got to be in the hot springs all alone - very fun.
Nice shade - good stop between Garden Valley and Idaho City.

Online booking reservation was pretty easy with email follow-ups. A decent campground and near some hot springs, an easy trail to get there. The campground could have used some cleanup after some work to get rid of some infestation. Downed branches left in camping spots. Overgrown grass under and all around picnic tables. Outhouses were well stocked with toilet paper. Not a lot of shade at site 19 but lots of room for the double site.

This campsite is a disaster. They recently logged in the campground and left all the limbs and brush in the sites. One of the two bathrooms was locked and the other was about to overflow. People were running their generators at midnight, every rule was being broken and no camp host on site.

This campsite had recently undergone tree removal for beetles, I believe. When we got there, the campsite we had reserved couldn’t fit a camper (even though it said one was allowed on the booking page) and there was debris everywhere. There was also nobody else there and the camp host was not around. We ended up camping somewhere else. I would not recommend this campsite until it gets cleaned up properly.

Good spot for camping. Loved having the river and hot springs close. Vault toilet was out of toilet paper and very full when we arrived so it was good we brought our own.

Campground had garbage scattered around it and the restroom toilet was completely full with flys all in the inside. The hot springs are just springs and not hot at all…. We drove off and went down towards Garden valley to Hot springs campground and stayed…. It was a million times better. I’ll never ever step foot much less stay at pine flat.
I want my money back since it was nasty and we had to pay to stay at hot springs campground
