What Guests Are Saying
Pine Flats offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with plenty of trees and proximity to the river and hot springs. While some visitors reported issues with restroom cleanliness and uneven tent sites, the campground is generally well-regarded and family-friendly. Improvements to facilities and site reservations could enhance the overall experience for future guests.

Good spot for camping. Loved having the river and hot springs close. Vault toilet was out of toilet paper and very full when we arrived so it was good we brought our own.

Campground had garbage scattered around it and the restroom toilet was completely full with flys all in the inside. The hot springs are just springs and not hot at all…. We drove off and went down towards Garden valley to Hot springs campground and stayed…. It was a million times better. I’ll never ever step foot much less stay at pine flat.
I want my money back since it was nasty and we had to pay to stay at hot springs campground

Beautiful campground above the river with lots of trees providing good shade. Only complaint is that most sites that I saw including ours don’t really have a decent flat spot to put a large tent. The ground is just naturally uneven. Not really the campgrounds fault but maybe some work could be done to create good flat spots obvious for tents like they have at the Mountain View campground just up the way.

I reserved a "trailer" site (spot #6) for Pine Flats through this website, but unfortunately when we arrived, it was a tent site, as we were unable to back up our trailer anywhere due to large boulders blocking the site. Our only option was to parallel park in front of it (in a parking lot) then walk 20+ feet to get to the picnic table and fire pit. The guests next to us (spot #7) had the same situation and said they were upset to find they couldn't back their trailer in either. Guests in spot #5 had basically pitched their tent in our site, which was super rude. We left and stayed in Garden Valley for the weekend instead. The campground overall seems decent, and I'd like to try to stay there again some time, just need to CONFIRM the spot we reserve is, in fact, for trailers.

Hardly any trees. So in the summer, it’s just plain hot.

Pine Flats is a great family friendly spot - leave it better than you found it and be respectful of other campers!
