What Guests Are Saying
Pine Flats offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with plenty of trees and proximity to the river and hot springs. While some visitors reported issues with restroom cleanliness and uneven tent sites, the campground is generally well-regarded and family-friendly. Improvements to facilities and site reservations could enhance the overall experience for future guests.

One water spigot had a sign marking as unsafe, the next one didn’t. The camp host said they were all bad and the water needed boiling.
The hills across from the campground have been devastated by fire. We stayed here on a dry, hot August night and were dismayed to see campfires to begin with, only to see some left unattended while the campers went down to the river. The next day, a group decamped, leaving their fire still burning. The camp host was absent in the morning.
Last thing this area needs is another wild fire!

We were there during the heat wave (June 28 - July 7 2021). We had 5 campsites for our annual family reunion. The clean campground doesn't have hookups but there is, nearby to each site, very good well water from a real hand pump and clean vault toilets. The camp host was the highlight of the campground -- Tall Paul. He would come by each day and let us know the weather forecast and of any wildlife sightings. He was able to tell us what was available at the different small towns nearby and where all the hot springs were (one was right below the campground). From the campground, we spent a day at Redfish lake (a must go-to for a nice swimming beach, rentals of water craft, and fishing), river rafted the local rivers, and played in the slow moving Middle Fork of the Payette river near the town of Crouch.
