What Guests Are Saying
Mountain View campground offers a beautiful setting by the South Fork of the Payette River, with generous, well-maintained sites and easy river access. Many visitors appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views, along with nearby hiking options. However, there were concerns about the camp host's lack of attentiveness to facilities, particularly regarding cleanliness and supplies, as well as noise from nearby traffic.

Right off the road and NONSTOP vehicle noise all night (still pretty loud even down by the river). Not much shade for a lot of the sites, but I’m sure that helped keep the bugs down.
Not the best campground if you have active kids that want to ride bikes since it’s so small, but it was clean at least. River access was good/easy but the recent landslide really muddied up the river.
Fortunately Julie Creek Trail and some forest service roads are nearby for hiking and bike riding.

Always a great place to camp!
Did need to encourage the camp host to clean the bathroom and resupply toilet paper. After a friendly talk he got right on it. We so appreciated that action.

We always have a wonderful time here. Been coming here for 35 years. Something is wrong with the camp host the past two years. Never see him. Never refills the toilet paper, good thing we know where it is and filled up the campground for the people there. Never cleans the bathrooms. Yall should find a better host.

We had campsite 10 and it was awesome! Right on the river, enough space to not feel crowded and right next to the bathrooms. We would stay again!

We have been camping at Mountain View for 20+ years and love its location by the river. The campsites are generous and well maintained.
