The cub river station is a gem. It's comfortable and has a lot of outside fun. Being next to the river was very relaxing, and there is space for plenty of people.

We love this campsite. This year though they did not bring in firewood like they have always done in the past and they still refuse to fix the hot water heater so that we can have hot showers. I worked to see that this site was cleaned before my family came in. People leave old icky foam pads there which I bagged up and took to a garbage place. I mopped and washed out the vaulted toilet. I wish that the powers that be could check things out before a new group arrives though to make sure that they clean reasonably well.

A good time as always. Plenty of wood (bring your own splitting maul), and more snow than expected but the shovel was the and in good condition. I like this station and will continue to visit, but continue to be disappointed with basics, such as only a couple working propane lights. I've learned to bring my own mantles but forgot this time. I'm also used to cleaning up other people's mess, sweeping the place always yeilds far more debris than we bring in; no change this trip. Leave it better than you found it! The new bunkhouse is a nice 3 season addition, but a simple heat source would be great for an upgraded winter experience.

We had a fabulous time! Even though the grounds got flooded out, we made the best of it! No control on Mother Nature! We have always had a fabulous experience! Thank you!

We went during the end of October, and there was little snow. The road was paved the whole way, which made it easy to get to, and it was a very large guard station! I can see this being great for large groups during the summer with the basketball court, grills, and volleyball net. It was pretty cold, and we could not get the propane heater working, so we set our beds up next to the wood burning stove all night, which kept us pretty toasty.

We took a group of teenagers snow showing and had a nights stay at the cabin. We had a great experience.
The front room stays warm with the wood stove and wood provided. We couldn’t get the propane heater to work.

The cabin was fairly neat and clean, and finding it was easy with the sign after the cattle guard. The gate was stuck in snow half open and it was sometimes interesting getting a snowmobile through, and turning around was sometimes troublesome, but quite doable. There were mantels on all of the gas lamps, and a couple spares. The wood shed was full of large rounds, bringing an axe is a good idea. The gas wall heater had a broken thermocouple and wouldn't turn on, and the damper knob on the wood stove wasn't working right, but it warmed it up fine. If you tack a tarp to separate the living and dining room from the bedrooms, the temperature is quite nice. The gas stovetop worked fine, but the oven didn't quite want to light. Aside from heater issues, it's quite cozy and nice, and the view is incredible. The table works great for board games, and there is plenty of seating.
