Dog Creek (ID)

GREAT CAMPGROUND! The sites were very clean, toilets were the cleanest we’ve ever used at a camp site, and the hosts were very friendly. It has plenty of shade and space between sites, and is situated away from the highway. You can hear the sound of running water. We’ll be back!

The spot was not big enough for my camper. The information said it was so we moved and lost our money.

This place is beautiful! The camp host was awesome and the grounds were clean. We plan to make this a yearly spot for our family gatherings.

Had a great time even with the water off (belive it is on now). Host were great.

The campsites are spread out very nicely so there was plenty of privacy and the area is beautiful. The only real issue we had was that the campsite listing for site 12 says Trailer length 40 ft. NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. Our 28 ft travel trailer filled up the entire length of the parking area, and we had to park the truck so it was mostly in the return loop outside of the campsite parking space so I was slightly blocking other vehicles from getting through. Also, the photo shows the picnic table and fire pit on the left side of the campsite, which would normally put the the awning side facing towards the picnic area. The photo is deceptive because it was taken from the end of the campsite parking space rather than from the road, so they are actually on the other side of the space. I thought we had the wrong space at first until I realized what the photographer had done. That being said, it was still the best campsite in the campground and we thorougly enjoyed it. The camp hosts are phenomenal.

Very clean and quiet. Was a beautiful place to camp.

Nice, very close to the lake, stores, etc. The trees are vary tall, shade is limited a bit.

This campground is a mess right now. They are cutting trees and leaving a mess. The sites are full of leftover tree branches everywhere. Wait to go till they clean it up. July 8th 2022

There are still very large piles of tree limbs that need to cleaned up. These piles are potential fire hazards. In addition, the last time I stayed in DC, there were no reservation signs placed on the camp sites. When the reservation signs are not out, people think the site is not reserved and is available. I saw one case where someone was in a reserved site and the people who made the reservation showed up to find someone in the site already. Why is there no camp host this year?

The park trees were being cut down and there was a lot of tree debris around. We decided to stay at another campground.
