Water is available, but not at Dog Creek, you have to go a mile or so to Elk Flat campground. Otherwise it is peaceful and quiet, lots of birds.
The camp host is the best!

Water system was still off as of 5/29/21. It would be excellent if the water system was on.

Great small campground! We were in site #3 and it is a large site. Lots of shade and very quiet. There is a hiking trail about a mile away, as well as a nice swimming area on the river.

We absolutely love to camp at this location- the access to different activities as well as the option to just camp is well balanced. Our only 'problem' was that water was not available at this location. Generally we plan on bringing our own, but it is more convenient to have it available.

We stayed in camp site 5 and enjoyed how much space there was between sites as well as the beautiful nature right behind us. Wonderful time camping here

Although I had very little interaction with the staff, they still were charming and helpful. And the campsite was filled with courteous neighbors. The site is beautiful and perfectly located if you want to go to town, hot springs fishing, or isolate yourself. My favorite part was being away from cell service. All in all, wonderful location and hope to go back soon!

Campsite was nice, and bathrooms well maintained. The host was very friendly and stopped in to say hello within an hour of arrival. The issue we had is that we brought a group of 14 kids for a campout, and had carefully researched to make sure that water would be available. It was not, and we were told it was turned off the week prior. I understand that we stayed the last weekend that the campground was open, however, perhaps the water shouldn't be turned off and winterized until the campground is closed, or at least notice of such given prior to at arrival.

We reserved several sites for a family trip and they were clean and very nice. Beautiful spot. The campground as a whole, however, is very narrow. One way in which is also the same way out. Because of that, anyone who comes in has to go thru the entire campground to get out, not uncommon. But because everything is so narrow your camping outfit is right on the road. The fire pits in most are back a bit but we had one site and we were all but camped right on the narrow road, not the curve. Pay close attention to the size limits posted, you can't squish in. I would recommend the sites at the back of the campground at the turn around or a double site. The others have really limited space. Beautiful spot tho.
