Riley Creek is a very well kept campground! I was quite impressed! This was a very last-minute decision (and I'm sure we probably just got lucky to find an opening) but the people who planned the development of this campground thought of EVERYTHING! Lot's to do (basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, ampitheatre, rentable shelters, a BEAUTIFUL beach--with outside showers to rinse off afterwards, even a "doggie island"! The camp host/ranger did not harass us at all (as they do sometimes in other campgrounds) and allowed us to truly enjoy the view, being outdoors, and the entirety of our trip. The ONLY suggestion I would make is to the developers of the campground and that suggestion would be to allow access to the water in a few other locations in addition to the beautiful beach! The way it is set up now with the boulders along the entirety of the shoreline forces all visitors to one location (which I do understand for control and cleanliness purposes); however, since the campground is on a peninsula and you are surrounded with water in both sides--why not allow a couple of places to access the water on the "back side". I loved "doggie island" but not more than one dog can actually swim there sunce it is a small access area.
Provide a second "doggie area" on the back side and allow your guests to choose if they prefer to swim with their animals. Obviously, I have an animal who loves to swim so I was not able to enjoy the beautiful beach access. Bring in another area (or two) of sand and remove a portion of those boulders! I would enjoy floating or swimming WITH or WITHOUT my animal. We managed just fine and I LOVE the place but found those boulders to limit my ability to utilize the water (I cannot leave my dog unattended at my campsite). Give me the right to choose and also lessen the number of people on the main beach!

This is the best RV park we have ever stayed at and we have been to many. Clean, easy access, roomy sites and great beach. Safe place to let my grandkids play freely. I can’t say enough good things. The only drawback is it’s tough to get reservations when you want, most likely because everyone else has found out about Riley Creek. Only about 40 minutes away too!

Other than the campground hosts (or someone) not cleaning the sites between campers it was great. Nice location, near river, lots of paths to walk and children's playground were wonderful. The hosts don't seem to be equipped with takes, brooms, trash cans on their carts, so maybe it isn't their job, but someone should.
Almost all spots will handle 40 ft rigs, but not all spots are level enough for 40 footers without leveler's and lots of time figuring out the angles. Will stay here again and just be selective about the spaces. Great value with our senior pass.
