Riley Creek is consistently praised for its clean and well-maintained facilities, spacious and private campsites, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite among visitors. The campground offers great amenities like a swimming beach, walking trails, and a dog-friendly area, contributing to a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. Sites were spacious and for the most part, shady. Bathrooms were clean. The beach was beautiful, and there was a nice sandy-bottomed swimming area. Nice path around the perimeter of the campground for walking and biking.
The only downside was the noise from the nearby highway and the logging business located just outside the entrance to the campground.

We love Riley Creek! It’s one of our most favorite places to camp. The thing we noticed this year especially, was that getting in to a camp site was so much harder, and then there were multiple spaces open (at least 6) where people didn’t cancel and didn’t show up. There needs to be stronger no show policies.

This campground has large flat sites. Even in July campfires were allowed. The off leash area on Doggie Island is large and shaded. We liked the trails along the river.

Riley is a fantastic place to camp. However, due to the abundance of electric scooters and electric bikes being constantly driven on campground roads and walking paths, you take your life in your hands if you are a pedestrian. There are no speed limit signs within the campground and the scooters & bikes are driven at top speeds, around curves, often by children who aren't savvy enough to have full control their device. We see many near misses every year. It is scary.
