The area is beautiful!! Iβm sure this is a wonderful place if you are in an RV. But considering we were tent camping it was not wonderful. You have to have the tent on the gravel, okay thatβs fine. But what they donβt tell you is under the gravel is cement so you can NOT stake your tent. So if you happen to have a tent that requires being staked out for it to be up properly. You are screwed. Will not be going back. Plus there were extremely rude people that were at the campsite.

we had a great time but wish parents would follow 10-7 am quiet time and keep kids in their own camp sites and not allow them to roam and be out and about going through others campsites hooping and hollering

Campsites are large and private for the most part, we have a 35 foot fifth wheel and could fit into many of the sites. The table was new, made of recycled wood product and clean. We did not use showers or restrooms, but I viewed them and they were large and clean. Hosts were friendly and helpful and HAPPY. ACOE must treat them right. The location is great with lots of trees, grassy play areas, a tot lot, boat basin for parking boats on the water, and a nice trail. There are two fishing piers, and a place for dogs. This is a great family campground and we will come back, it was one of the top five experiences in our three years of full timing so that says a lot.
