We stayed at Dent Acres during hunting season when a majority of the campsites were closed for winter. The experience we had was excellent. The camp facilities were clean and hot showers were a blessing. All campers were friendly, campsites were clean and quiet hours respected. A very impressive camp volunteer was up before light to ensure bathroom facilities were stocked and clean. Very nice man who takes his responsibilities to heart. Yes, campsites are close together but with the limited number of campers mid October it was fine. AT&T cell service was decent (bonus not expected), DirecTV reception was good, electric, water and RV Dump was fantastic. Reasonable rates at $20 night however with my America the Beautiful Pass we paid $10 night. I loved this experience and will return for sure!

The fact that we were there till October 2nd but had to move spots was a big PAIN!!!! It was absolutely ridiculous that the camp ground was not completely open in ALL spots till October 31st. And the boat ramp was a Zoo. Someone should have been sent down there with some type of equipment to knock the one wheel of the ramp back on the correct side of the ramp so after putting your boat in you could tie up. As it was you had to pull into the rocks or mud to go move your truck.!! A lot of people were complaining about it. Also the garbage needed emptied! It was overflowing and stinky! There also no camp host after the 26th of September and when they were there they did NOT have access to website nor know which spots were open. We had to drive to town to get service to move our camper to open spot. One ranger came through to put signs on the reserved spots and was and was not at all friendly. He never spoke nor smiled. Which is ridiculousl He acted like he was mad or better than everyone. The bathrooms were NOT clean and the smelled like Urine! The showers have mildew on the walls on tile, the shower curtains were ripped, old and had mildew also. The mats in shower and on the floors have not been replaced in at least two years. What the HECK???? We are trying to get through a pandemic! Not sure we will go back next year!!!! So much needs done!! YUCK
