The place is now 50 years old and showing the wear. Not as pristine as when I helped bring electric power in, in 1973. It still is very comfortable. The lake was drawn down so far it was hard to launch my boat. We were extremely surprised to find so many campers there.

We try to stay at Dent Acres every October for some fishing. I'd like to start by saying that the camp hosts were FABULOUS!! They were super friendly and helpful. However, every year we go, there is one reason or another that the dock is not in the water, even though it is supposed to be. They seem to always have a lame excuse as to why it's not out. If you have an elderly person, short person, or anyone having difficulty getting into a boat, I highly advise to NOT use this campground in the fall.

We stay here several times a year love the park all the fishing and hunting opportunities. Lots of roads to drive on and see the country.

This was a great campground, very quiet at night, the stars were great to look at and for photography. The campground hosts were great and very informative about the area.

The campground is very clean, quiet, and we enjoyed our visit very much. The campground hosts are doing a very good job of keeping it clean and were regularly cruising through to ask if we needed anything and giving advice on the area, etc. Kudos to the camp hosts.

The drive to this campground was breath-taking, but took a bit longer than expected (plan to add at least 45 minutes to your expected travel time). The campsite itself was in excellent condition and the hookups and facilities were as described. The shower house is within easy walking distance from this campsite. The shower house was clean and well-lighted. We appreciated that the campsites were appropriately spaced with paved drives. We enjoyed our tenting experience.

From Hwy 12: Cross the bridge at Orofino and turn left onto Hwy 7. Travel 200 yards and turn right on Dent Bridge Road and travel 19 miles. At the sign for the campground, turn left. Campground is 2 miles ahead.
