What Guests Are Saying
The Bonner County Fairgrounds campground has received mixed reviews. While some guests appreciate the fairgrounds and acknowledge the need for community support, others report issues such as cramped spaces, lack of running water at the dump station, and overcrowding at shared facilities. Noise from trains and an unhelpful campground host were also mentioned, leading to a disappointing experience for some visitors.

Worst campground I've ever visited of like 50 sites in 10 states. I was so close to the vehicle next to me I couldn't even open my truck door. The neighbors slide out was inches from my trailer. The ground was a mess. The spaces were short. I left after one night. Didn't even care about adding for a refund. I just needed out.

Would not stay here if you want to hook to water. I had 25 feet but needed 50+ to reach a shared spigot. Had to turn around into the site backward to fill my water tank then turn around to get level. Trains are noisy. Campground host was no help. One Would be better off parking on a local street near new construction.

Love the fair grounds! The citys are fighting over expenses there so the grounds could really use our love and support

Had to share the water spigot with 3 other sites. The trash cans were overflowing. The crows dragged trash everywhere. The camp host was non existent. Had to clean my site before using it. I got up charged $20 a night because of the 4th of July weekend with NO activities!

While the campground was clean and quiet we were extremely shocked and disappointed by one thing. Yes, they have a dump station.....BUT THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER!!! We dumped our black tank using our septic hose and when it came time to rinse it - No water!? Can you imagine anything more disgusting than a fouled septic hose that can't be washed out? And I do mean FOULED!!! In the past we have stayed at Travel America in Sagle and since we had no idea where else to go, we returned to Sagle (the opposite direction from home) and used their dump station to properly clean our hose and tank.
It boggles the mind that during one of the most popular events of the year for Sandpoint, (Lost in the 50's) lodging and campsites are all booked to capacity; that the fairgrounds can't be bothered with turning on the water at the dump station. Seriously???
