The park was beautiful and well taken care of. Lots of wildlife. Shower house was very clean. We had site 126. Great shaded site. Fire ring was clean, concrete picnic table and asphalt camping driveway. The area between the camping spot and picnic table had been washed out at some point as lots of tree roots were out of the ground making it a tripping hazard

This is a beautiful park. Plenty of space between sites. Our spot was level an plenty long enough for our 38’ pull behind and truck. Would definitely stay here again.

The spot I reserved was 82 I believe. We got there and apparently I hadn’t realized it had a pitch. It would have been too difficult to impossible to level out trailer. Do we went to the attendant and he was no longer on duty. So we called recreation.gov and selected another spot. #122. It was very level. The site was spacious and shaded. But it was too shaded to use our Starlink. We had no Verizon tower for our data so that part of our stay wasn’t good but we got used to having no internet.
We brought our e-bikes and rode the bike trail twice and we enjoyed it except for the 100 degree heat. That couldn’t be helped. Other than that we enjoyed the campground -we had full hookups- and that was perfect. This is a great campground and we will come back but try to get a spot where we can use our Starlink.

We were van-camping. Campground was quiet. Nice view of the dam at dawn. Showers were clean and a water was warm.

The park was nice and clean. I loved our site except for the slope. I didn't look at that when I booked but we made it work. I would go back again.

We gave stayed at South Marcum previously. This is our favorite campground at Rend Lake. Site 60 full hookup plenty long for our 38' fifth wheel and parking. Very spacious site. Lots of walking or bike trails. Highly reccomend!! Our Tmobile was a little sketchy but did work somewhat. Very clean, plenty of dumpsters.

We had a wonderful time camping this year. The boys, and their 2 friends, loved swimming in Rend Lake, visiting the Dam, playing at the playground, roasting marshmallows, riding the bike trail and we did spend a rainy day at the movie theater in Carbondale. We always have a great time making memories with family!!
