I absolutely love to camp at Rend Lake. The spots are clean and the people are friendly. Very clean area and the fishing is great. The only negative thing I could possible say is people need to keep a grip on their barking dogs. We have a dog and are animal lovers but when dogs bark all day it disrupts the peaceful lake environment.

Our stay at South Marcum (site #77) was excellent. Site is pretty level, needed a 1x6 under left side. There aren’t neighbors close by, and behind is woods and a small open field. The camp hosts are always friendly and very helpful. The bike trails are great if you bring a bike.

FYI: This site, 103, is not big rig friendly. Too much slope and the 50 amp was not working

This is a very nice campground and is large enough for big rigs. You need to watch carefully when making your reservations for the proper length and slope. Attendants are always very friendly and helpful.
