The host at the entrance was great and very helpful for it being our second trip out with our camper. Lot we chose was good. I ran my RC truck on the rocks. Reason I picked it. Only downside was the knats. No one’s fault but wow they were bad.

Staff in the booth were very friendly and helpful. Campground is immaculate. Never seen a cleaner fire pit. I am usually an off grid camper so, sites are a little close for my taste and no trees to separate guest. But campground is very well ran.

Showers were nice, need more shade trees near the camp sites and less invasive trees growing up along the lake banks/levees. There is so many volunteer maples, willows and locust trees that will eventually steal all the view of the lake and weaken the levees

Fantastic campground. We had full hookups near the boat docks which made it very easy. The restaurant up the road on hwy 127 (Swamp Tales) had a wonderful catfish sandwich. The lake is much more shallow on the north side of the bridge. If you boat down the way to Coles Creek campground there is a beach.

Those flying bugs ruin it. They are everywhere. In my food, hundreds on the back of our camper and in our camper.
