Lovely location along river. Lots of wildlife. Went in January, so very pleased that the bathrooms were heated and very clean. Would definitely go back.

Very nice mid-December camping at McNair—East Spillway campground! The flushable toilets were open and warm. The excellent camp host even opened up the usually closed shower house 2 or three days a week. This was important to us because we were in a Scamp trailer without a bathroom.

We stayed at Dam East-McNair Campground Spillway Loop Jan 3-5 on our way from OH to TX. The park was very quiet with plenty of space between sites. We travel with 2 dogs & there are nice areas to walk them, as well as kids to play. Restrooms were clean & stocked. We would definitely camp there again.

I booked ahead for a stop along the way during a long trip. The campground was pristine, and the walking trails were excellent for giving my pup some exercise after a long day in the car. I was able to arrive late and leave early by reserving my spot online. Campsites weren’t private (though they were just as described so this was not an expectation anyway) but they were very spacious, level, and had both power and water. For only $14, this was a great bargain and very convenient.

Got there late in the day. Went 30 miles out of my way. The sign there said the facility closed November One. I reserved and arrived on the 27th of November. Very disappointing.

Quiet and relaxing. There is a playground for the kids and the walking path is right there.
