There was a lot of trash at the campsite. I know it's from previous occupants and it's hard for staff to clean up each site, but my dog kept picking it up.

Everything was wonderful till our last night spot 35 across from us started with extremely loud music and talking at 2:30 am till 4 am when finally someone showed ip and shut them down. We woke up to find their trash blowing everywhere. Finally the ranger showed up and had them clean everything up.

Dam East Campground is in farmland. Farms and ranches surround this place and it's beautiful. We first went to the visitor center for directions and it was closed. A car pulled up in front of us, blocking us and a man got out and approached us. He introduced himself as the Host and proceeded to lead us directly to our site. He's an angel. Our site was great! Clean, level, electric, water. We would definitely stay here again!

We had no problems checking in and the site was clean and ready. The only issue was that previous campers left trash in the fire ring that we had to clean out.

When we set up our fifth wheel we noticed the person on the site before us had dumped their black tank. Right there ON the site. Undigested toilet paper with said excrement was all over. Totally inappropriate and beyond comprehension. Did tell the host when we paid for another day- in hopes that they would “flag” the person from visiting the campground in the future.
We camp a lot at this campground and have never experienced anything like this before.
