We were greeted as we entered the campground by the campground volunteers Sue & Jim. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The told us about the campsground and when we asked about bike trails they informed us about the wonderful one. running right by the entrance. They also walked around the campground and stopped to talk to us which was a wonderful way to make you feel welcome! Great place with great people.

Our plan was to stay for one night, unfortunately there was no water available in the campground because of a nearby water main break. But, we did have excellent leveled pad, thick brush ,grass and trees for shade. A wonderful view of the Mississippi River at the southern tip of the campground, courtliest host made themselves available for questions or help, more elderly campers than other campgrounds. Showers need upgrade but after some fidgeting they worked fine the next morning when the water returned to the campground. A very nice campground for a weekend getaway.

I stayed in this campground for one night during a cross country trip. It is along the Mississippi River and offers a view of the river on one loop. It is close to an interstate highway and thus was a convenient, quiet, and affordable overnight stay. The shower house/restroom is clean and well maintained. The campground host, Mark, is excellent. He checked me in and came by to see if I had any problems within a half hour.
There is a bike path right at the campground entry/exit that other people used. I didn’t explore it as I was only there overnight, but it appeared convenient.
