We love spending time here. The pads are level and provide safer walking surfaces for older people like us. The grounds are well maintained and park like. The price is reasonable especially with Lifetime senior national park card.

While my boyfriend was visiting the first night the person in duty was very helpful and visited. We see staff out and about throughout the grounds. Very clean and easy to access.

I prefer to stay at Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds because they are well designed, the campsites are generally level, you’re not jammed together like cord wood, and the facilities are clean and well maintained. I had site #8, which was directly on the river, and lived up to my expectations. The campground is a quick drive from I-80 which made it appealing for my cross country trip.

Fisherman’s Corner is great. The camp host who greeted us was very welcoming. Beautiful campground right next to the Mississippi River!
It is electric only, but a dump station on your way out. There are also fresh water spigots near some of the camp sites.
