Nice quiet centrally located to the activities we were participating in. Easy to find, right off the highway. Interesting fact, my dad grew up right across the highway from this campground which was not there at that time. Depending on which site, some of them are interesting/challenging to back into, and you have to watch which site you choose if you are a longer unit. Nice view from most of the campground of the river. It was neat to watch the barges go down the river and into the locks. The locks are within walking distance along a nice bike/walking trail.

We arrived on an August Friday afternoon without a reservation and were able to find a very nice site for our 25 ft motor home. The sites are spacious and they are level. Back in, put the stabilizers down and hook up water power and sewer. Simple. Campground is clean and well maintained. Interesting to sit on a bench along the river and watch the tugs and barges on the river. Bathrooms are clean. Did not use the showers so I can't comment on them. Stayed two nights and would happily return if we were in the area again. As always, good job by the Corps of Engineers. Nice paved walking and bike trail runs past the campground and follows the river.

Most of the water faucets did not work. Looking at the items in question it was the result of POOR maintenance.
Basically the employees just don't care!!! It appears the faucets could be adjusted with very few parts to be in great condition. Making sure campers have water is like a very BASIC service, you FAILED!!

Stayed at Fishermans Corner as a home base to explore the area... Visited the John Deere combine plant, the John Deere Pavilion and made our way to La Claire IA to see the American Pickers store and the Buffalo Bill museum. Capped off our visit with a dinner cruise on the river.
Really enjoyed the quiet evenings on the riverbank watching the barges and tugs navigating the locks... wish we could have stayed longer...
All facilities were clean, power was steady, and water hydrant was accessible from our site. The site was riverfront and plenty deep to accommodate our truck and travel trailer. Really great site at a really great price. Highly recommend.

Nice clean RV park, with the Mississippi River to watch the birds and the Tug boat going though lock 14. Pleasant to walk the dog
and see others.
