What Guests Are Saying
Timberline Campground offers a pleasant atmosphere with clean tent sites and friendly staff. While some amenities like the pool were well-maintained and enjoyable for kids, there were issues with cleanliness and maintenance in cabins and facilities, including broken playground equipment and a poorly kept mini-golf area. Overall, the campground has potential but requires significant improvements to enhance the guest experience.

This campground has a lot of problems. Paid approximatly $60 for our water/electric site and the site was EXTREMELY uneven. There was no picnic table or designated fire area. One other camper came to camp at the site next to us and saw how uneven it was and left. Also site is not paved or even have gravel and everything is hard to find since almost nothing is well marked. The pool and pool area was not very nice looking, but seems pretty clean. Their were lots of no smoking signs in the pool area, but still several people smoking and drinking alcohol around kids and others. The mini-golf is free and for good reason. It is essentially unplayable because it is in such disrepair. One upside was the employees seemed nice and the patrons were friendly. The pond is hard to fish at if you are trying to fish from the shore and not a boat.

We stayed in a cabin at Timberline over the 4th of July weekend with two other families who were staying in nearby cabins. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
The biggest concern was that one family arrived Friday and found bed bugs in their cabin while getting their child ready for bed. The after-hours emergency number provided was never answered. The staff member who came to assist initially offered to spray bleach and provide new blankets, which understandably was not an acceptable solution. Our friends ended up leaving that night and going home. They were told management would issue a refund, and we never saw or heard from anyone in management again during our stay.
Cleanliness was a major issue throughout the cabins. One cabin had visible dirt, dead bugs, old socks, and trash left behind. Our cabin also had trash, dirt on the floor, and a sticky substance that appeared to have been dragged across the floor and not cleaned.
The shared bathrooms needed attention as well. One toilet was out of order the entire weekend. The showers were surprisingly clean, but the shower heads were in poor condition.
The amenities also appeared poorly maintained. The pool was very small for the size of the campground, the mini golf course was in disrepair with broken areas, and the playground had trash inside the equipment along with broken steps and exposed screws, which was concerning with our children using it.
There were also additional safety concerns, including a recently cut tree near the cabins with thorny branches left behind. One of the children and one of the adults in our group stepped on thorns from the branches on the first day.
The location itself has potential, but the cabins, facilities, and overall maintenance need significant improvement. The campground did not appear prepared for a busy holiday weekend, and the lack of management follow-up was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not stay here again unless substantial improvements are made.

I camped there recently with a couple of friends and I loved it. The place is very nice and quiet and clean. I did try to play golf and that was a no it needs to be fixed. A few of us did fish and had fun it could be weed eated and cleaned out a little bit. I am actually thinking about buying a camper and moving there.

Bathrooms were nasty no paper towel, hand dryer didn’t work, grass needed mowed, sewer cap was missing right by our door! Water pipe next to us was dripping the whole time! The young lady at the front office was great! Didnt like paying in advance. I understand a lot of money is lost from no shows , but if I go back I will call the day of to get my spot. Price is way to high for what you have

We enjoyed our tent site (7) for a 2 night stay at Timberline Campground. The womens bathroom closest to us had 2 stalls and 2 showers and one sink. It was well stocked and clean. One stall broke while we were there and it was fixed before we left so very quick. The store is closed on Tuesdays and that was our main day there so we had to go to a gas station for firewood since we ran out but that's not their fault. The outlet at our site was different (I attached a picture) so you would need an adapter, which they sell at the store for $10. The map says there is a jumping pillow but there is not one anymore (I attached a picture of where I think it was). The pool and pool area was nice and clean. My kids loved it. The park area is older, one of the swings was broken and the big slide is metal and gets really hot. There is mini golf and gem mining but the store was closed the day we were there so we didn't use them (pictures are attached). Golf carts are available for 80 the first day and 70 per day after that. We didn't rent one. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and helpful. We didnt use the laundry facilities but they looked nice and well maintained.
