Stayed on site #45 and it was recently redone and is absolutely great. The 'patio' area is larger, it is level, and the view of the lake is wonderful.

The only thing I would recommend to improve our experience is to add another water fill access to each loop

One of our favorite campgrounds. Very nice sites, shaded, and full hookup is always a big plus.

Great area to explore. Lots of places without a ton of people to go fish or grill. Short drive to the beach. The campsite itself could have been better. While we had great views, we had a tough time with the slope of the whole campsite, you have to be mindful of bed/tent position to make sure you don't roll at night. When booking we were under the impression that only the parking pad had a slope, not the whole site. There are lots of surface roots from trees. The fire pit/grill is falling apart and the grill part doesnt lay flat. Food can and will roll off of it if you don't watch it like a hawk. The electric posts have wasps that want to stay there, even if you remove the nest.
Be aware, if you want to sleep in you might not be able to. They come frequently to blow off the path to the bathroom with leaf blowers starting as early as 7 am! Horrible!!!
On the plus side, lots of shade and a great breeze when the wind kicks up. The campsite right next to it isn't open, so nobody next to you, and there is a bathroom beyond that empty campsite.
While you can walk to the lake next to the site, it has a barrier of rocks to climb down and the ground is a muddy sludge. We wanted to get out on inflatable boats but it was such a mess it wasn't even worth it.
Bathroom and showers are what you expect when camping. The bathrooms didn't have soap at all, so bring some! Showers are kind of small, especially if you're bigger. And the doors, at least on the females, have a large gap where you can easily make eye contact with people walking past, so be mindful of that. The water pressure was great. I only took cold showers, but was informed by the rest of my party that warm/hot showers would be super cold and then super hot and kept switching throughout.
Generally a good experience. Will be on the lookout for different spots without the drastic slope and tree roots for future trips.
