The park was beautiful. The bike trail was perfect for the easy ride and the experienced rider. Our spot was near the water and made for early morning fishing and just relaxing with morning coffee. I would recommend to everyone and I plan to return soon.

South Sandusky is our favorite campground but we managed to discover the WORST campsite in the whole campground. It's Dogwood 120, and it's a full hook-up, pull-through site. Sounds good, right? Well, the site is crowned and off-camber. The flat portion was barely long enough for our 30' camper. It was impossible to have both the front and back doors of our camper positioned so we could step out on pavement. Worst of all, the sewer hookup was on the wrong side! To use it, you would have to have enough sewer hose to run under your camper and into your campsite. The connection was about where our front door needed to be. We jockeyed around and finally came to the conclusion it was unworkable. Fortunately, working with the local staff and Reservation.Gov we were able to find THE ONE AND ONLY SITE AVAILABLE BOTH NIGHTS OF OUR STAY! There is no way we could have anticipated the actual condition of the site based on the description and photo online.
