This campground has one of the friendliest and most helpful hosts we've ever dealt with. He was great working out reservations for adjacent sites for our small group (3 couples). We didn't use the shower house, but it is new and seemed clean. This spot (#154) has a bit of a lake view. It backs up to a wooded area & is a good distance away from the next site. But it is difficult to back a trailer into as it's uphill and on a curve. Would not recommend for a longer rig. Our camper is only 20 ft.

We love the Corp campgrounds at Rend Lake and this one was not an exception to those feelings. The Corp staff went above and beyond for us on this trip. I had originally reserved a site at Gun Creek and when we got there we found it was at too much of an incline to level of 35 ft motorhome. It was my fault as I should of looked at the site specs better when reserving the site. It was Labor Day weekend and we were at the start of a 3,300 mile trip. So it wasn't simply a matter of canceling the weekend. The staff found a great site at this neighboring campground. Can't thank them enough.

We enjoyed our stay at South Sandusky so much that we are going back today, a week later! The campground is well-kept, and the restroom/shower facility in our loop was nice and appeared to be new. Our campsite was level and spacious. The campground location is perfect for enjoying the bike trail.
