Great campground! Campsites are large and there is plenty of space between campsites. No interstate traffic and very quiet at night. Beautiful lake just a few steps from each campsite.

The campsite was nice but the fire pit was not clean the bike trail was good. The shower house is nice and clean but the water volume was so bad that you could barely get the soap rinsed out of your hair. The host were friendly and helpful. Over all good experience but soap in the bathroom to wash your hands and better water volume would be a big improvement

Site 197 was a nice one - faces the woods and very private- but the description of the site could use a bit more info. The slope is listed at 0% and it definitely wasn't that flat. We did have to work at getting out 26' TT level. Also, the photos of the site show a really long driveway, but not the sharp turn needed to back into it. Took us a few tries and our neighbor said the man there before us had a lot of problems getting into it. If we were going again, we'd seriously consider coming in the wrong direction on the one way road in front of it. It's the very first campsite, so it's a short distance, and backing into the site from the opposite direction would be so much easier because of the driveway across from it.
We did enjoy South Sandusky and plan to go back. The bike path from the campground is great!

We have stayed in this campground previously. The showers were recently renovated, this was not an improvement. When we stayed here previously, the showers were clean, good water pressure. This time they were clean, but the water pressure was terrible. The new setup has 4 individual rooms with a toilet, sink, and shower. Throughout our stay members from our group used each of the 4 rooms and the experience was the same in all 4. If this is meant to be a water saving it fails because we all had to take longer than normal showers to get the shampoo rinsed out of our hair. Please adjust the showers. We love coming here for the bike trail and fall colors. The campgrounds are some of the nicest we've visited with this one exception.
