Like most COEs this is a really nice campground. We were in site 51 which is a FHU site. The site is small pea gravel, level and wide. The bathrooms are directly across but are very uninviting, and I did not use them. I would not follow your GPS. It takes you on route 5, which is a small, bad road. Take 128 instead to county rd 1650 (not 1600) and follow the signs. That road is not very good either, but it is only a 1/2 mile. We camped at Opossum Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Wonderfully peaceful. Small campground with the most amazing dedicated tent pad sites. Love listening to all the song birds.

Campground is fine! My issue is people drive through there like it's a regular street. There are tons of kids playing at the campground and riding there bikes and no one slowed down at the posted 15mph.....speed bumps NEED TO BE INSTALLED and slow people down!!!

Great park. Very quiet and peaceful. Most of the sites are long and wide. We were on Site 62. We pull a 41’ 5th wheel that can be challenging to maneuver in some parks. It was relatively easy to get into this site. Once parked we had about 20’ from the front of the RV to the road. The site was probably 20’ to 25’ wide and lined with 6x6 posts. Great fire pit that was easy to cook on. The Corps had it cleaned once while we were there which was awesome. Gate attendants and park staff was friendly and nice. Park Rangers were In the park routinely checking on things. Plenty of places to walk our dogs as they keep the setbacks mowed and trimmed. I would recommend the Corps put hand soap or hand sanitizer in their bathrooms as there was never any nor did it appear there was even a dispenser for either. Overall a great experience and we would return without hesitation

The visit was fine. We were in the electric walk-in tent area. There we actually tons of spiders. I saw at least 10 different varieties. The area was very wooded on site 13. It did have a trail to the lake which was nice.
