It was nice to feel like things were back to normal! All of the other campers were very pleasant. It was very quiet at night.
We could here the fireworks on Saturday night and regret that we didn't walk down to see them. Looking forward to coming
back next year.

Lake Shelbyville is large and if you want to be near the historic district this is a good location. The park is very clean and well organized. There is a boat dock in this location and if you want to rent a boat, a marina about 20 minutes away in Lithia Springs. Don't miss the dam and the visitor's center. Some site have full hook ups and are on the main road as you enter the campground in a line and some what closer together than the sites with electric only. If you want to tent camp the sites are gravel and flat and the views are amazing. We are tucked away on RV site 11 and it is like being in the forest.

I didnt like thatthe park rangers called the sheriff on me to knock on my door at 1am. I never even spoke to the park ranger the night the sheriff came to my campsite. Was odd. At site 49.i have camped many places never run into this type situation.
