What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

The concrete pads are level and clean and the views of the river are spectacular. Be sure to visit the close by lock and dam to watch the large barges pass thru the lock.

This is a really nice spot. It's close to the Mississippi River - you can walk right up to the water's edge. The sites were level and spacious. The park was clean and well kept. Most of the campers were families and everyone seemed well behaved. There was a vault toilet right in the camp area, with the more modern facility with showers up the hill away from the water, presumably to protect from flooding.
