Fishing good, white bass were hitting. Good winery near by, Pheasent Hollow. Good brewery in Du quoin, St. Nicholas Brewing.

Nice campground. Our site (99) was level, power was good and bath house was a short walk. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

The park is beautiful and well maintained. Easy access to all the surrounding parks and fishing areas. The fish weren't biting when we were there but of the course the day after we left our friends who stayed another week really had fun catching the fish that we missed. We will defiantly be back next year.

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. Turn left onto Gun Creek Trail/Larry Foster Parkway, then right onto Golf Course Road. Continue 1/2 mile to park entrance.
