Gun Creek campground and facilities were top grade. We really enjoyed our FHU site that was deep in the woods from the road. The table and firepit were at the deepest part of the site with trees on both sides which provided privacy. We camped for 5 nights in a class B van.

The campground was very clean and quiet. The sites are large with plenty of room. Will definitively stay at this site again.

Pull throughs are very few and difficult to negotiate. Bathrooms were a little rough but reasonably clean. Beautiful setting.

I only spent one night on my on my drive through. The lady at the front was friendly and helpful. The sites are close, but it was quiet. There was some highway noise, but not loud enough to be a bother. I would definitely return.

Nice clean campground on beautiful lake. Extended my stay. Only complaints were the restrooms. No soap and hand dryers didn't work. Showered in them but was a little questionable-shower shoes a must. Couldn't figure out how to get hose to work at dump station, but I'm a newb. Site not exactly level but close enough. Tmobile strength good enough to stream. Would stay again.

Had a very nice time at Gun Creek. Though substantially side-sloping, the site was spacious and had a great view of the lake.

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. Turn left onto Gun Creek Trail/Larry Foster Parkway, then right onto Golf Course Road. Continue 1/2 mile to park entrance.
Gun Creek Campground is accessible from I-57 via exit 77, approximately 1 mile away. Illinois Route 154 runs directly in front of the campground, providing further access.
