We arrived to a very well shaded site. It was clean with blacktop drive and concrete spot. Had about 2.5% grad but got it level without running up on blocks. Unfortunately it was almost 100* for two day so wasn’t real comfortable.

Great location for travelers and water sports enthusiasts. Just off interstate, large sites with ample spacing, great hosts. Arrived weekday around 6:00 p.m. and multiple sites available.

The site was way off level, which made it very difficult to level our fifth wheel. The pictures of the site on the website, don’t reflect the true view of the site.
Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Grass was a little high resulting in swarms of gnats but great electric site with water right across the rrroad

Facility was clean and well maintained. There are some sites that may present leveling problems due to their slope but site 061 did not. Camped with a diesel pusher (40 ft) and was able to level with just a set of rear jack pads.

Site 021 was pretty level nice spacing and close to the lake. Easy back in with no obstructions. Campground was very clean and orderly all around. This sit is also conveniently right across the street from the flush toilet building.

Nice & quiet park during the week. Very few level sites. We didnt cross paths with the battle ax others complain about. We were prepaid & never registered upon entering.

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. Turn left onto Gun Creek Trail/Larry Foster Parkway, then right onto Golf Course Road. Continue 1/2 mile to park entrance.
Gun Creek Campground is accessible from I-57 via exit 77, approximately 1 mile away. Illinois Route 154 runs directly in front of the campground, providing further access.
