Nice kept campground, clean, large sites, beautiful sunsets. Warning***Turn around loops on the lake are not adequate for larger campers and fifth wheels over 36 ft. Larger Class As and Cs also scraped rear. These loops are tapered, tight and narrow with low sholders. Do not stay in BlueJay loop if over 36 ft.

Nice clean wide sites that don't encroach on neighbors. Water is dispersed fairly far away so make sure you have water prior to hooking up.

Though the people who check you in were very nice, the place they "camp" at was terrible. Stuff everywhere, example, recliner
outside in the weather! something you'd expect at a white trash mobile home area. You can only imagine what other junk was laying about. Most of it was hidden with something that looks like it came off an old tennis court fence and not even put up well. If this was at a campsite the park ranger would have chased them out. I think it sends a wrong message to the public, it was a pig stye. Love the camp grounds

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. Turn left onto Gun Creek Trail/Larry Foster Parkway, then right onto Golf Course Road. Continue 1/2 mile to park entrance.
Gun Creek Campground is accessible from I-57 via exit 77, approximately 1 mile away. Illinois Route 154 runs directly in front of the campground, providing further access.
