Rend Lake and its blue leg is great! Though, the recently felled large tree next to this campsite (051) is now causing issues. We believe that tree served as a wind-block for the bathroom and dumpster smells right up the hill, as it was noticeable at times. Otherwise, this space has pull-through parking and enough space for a large group. We will be back but will probably avoid this particular site in the future.

Always love Gun Creek. The water front spots always require a good deal of leveling, but even though I know that, I can't stop booking them. The view is so amazing. There are a large number of full hook ups at this park further inside the park as well. Spaces are large and loops are curved so you feel like you are just with a small group of people. This campground is not close to the Visitor Center and you have to drive there. There are bike and hiking paths and so many trees. One of our favorite places. Internet is good.

Positives: Easy check in/out, hot showers, lake views, functional electric Negatives: The combination of showers and bathroom unit is convenient, however the humidity renders the TP useless. Multiple sloped/unlevel campsites/pads ( Be careful during selection)

Site 55 has a perfect view of the lake. The area was clean and peaceful! I would stay there again!

Very nice park. Some sites are sloped so if a level rig is important to you best to scout it out before you commit.

Nice park. Well managed during the eclipse. Would have liked it better if there were hiking trails close by.

The campground was beautiful. We stayed right next to the lake, and were able to watch the eclipse right from our campsite. It looked like a wonderful place to kayak, and I wish I would have brought ours. They had a building with about 10 different shower rooms near us, which were clean and not busy, despite the campground being full.
