Location is excellent and so are the park management. Only issue was the site we got was not clean. People burned so many beverage cans even bottles of water or sauces. There were alcohol / beer bottles, bags of thrash tossed into woods. We spent a lot of time cleaning others thrash.

Gun Creek was an absolutely beautiful site for our family reunion! Being right off the lake we saw deer coming to drink and were able to fish with one of the little guys. There was a playground for the kids. Lots of shade trees which really helped make a very hot day more comfortable. Our family would definitely like to meet there again!

Beautiful campgrounds. Walkable. Many areas that aren't lots against the shoreline that are perfect for sunset and stargazing. Most lots are shaded.

We live <20 mi from this hidden jewel. We have found plenty of activities to fill our weeks of camping, biking & lake time. Please continue the improvements to bike trails and campsites. They will come.
