Every thing is good. Need to fix the door at the shower and bathroom house number 1. Can’t get it close right and lock.

Lovely campground on a beautiful lake. All sites have electric and some are full hook-ups. The only downside is that many of the sites are very unlevel. They are asphalt but most have a downward slope. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay with a peekaboo view of the water at sunset.

Nice campground, but the bathrooms/showers are very dated, and most sites are not at all level. The workers/staff were VERY helpful.

Excellent camp! We stayed in renovated B loop this time. Level waterfront sites and pristine bathrooms! Host secured our reserved sites. Great overnight stop! We've stayed here every spring and fall for about 8 years and have never been disappointed.

Would have given 5 stars but the old woman at check in was rude. Or just crabby. Or both. For goodness' sake, if you're having a bad day, don't take it out on innocent visitors who aren't familiar with where everything is located in the campground. Just answer the questions and try to smile.

This is a beautiful park - our sight 84 lakeside was perfect and is a wonderful place to camp. Lots of bicycle riding available in the area! I would highly recommend this campground!

We chose site 48 online because it was waterfront and looked like a great location. When we arrived, we found that it provided wonderful views of the lake, but the site was sloped and would have required quite a bit of leveling for our truck camper. However, there was a ranger nearby, who told us we could switch to site 50, which was available. The views weren't quite as spectacular, but we enjoyed a glorious sunset, and the next morning, we took a very short walk through the woods next to us, to a nice beach. This campground is clean, well kept and provides beautiful views of Rend Lake. Next time we'll stay longer so we can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and see more of the lake.

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. Turn left onto Gun Creek Trail/Larry Foster Parkway, then right onto Golf Course Road. Continue 1/2 mi to park entrance.

Gun Creek Campground is accessible from I-57 via exit 77, approximately 1 mile away. Illinois Route 154 runs directly in front of the campground, providing further access.
