Our site was perfect, right on a corner on the loop, secluded with access to the lake. The campground was gorgeous and clean. We were quite happy.

As for Rend Lake, at Gun Creek, was good, but what upsets me, I got sick after 2 days being there, an left the next morning, I called in, to see if I can reclaim 2 days of my trip, an 2 weeks later, I still haven't heard anything if I can claim those last 2 days...So if this is the caring that Rend Lake has for their campers, I may camp somewhere else.....

The water view sites are some of the best on the lake. That said, they do come with some road noise from both the interstate and county road that crosses the lake. Gun Creek no longer has an on-site "host". The check-in gate is staffed limited hours, which are posted at the gate house. TV reception with your standard RV antenna is limited. We have ATT cell service and our signal strength was good, not great.

We love rend lake and gun creek is our favorite I wish you’d put in trash can for dog poo. That’s my only complaint

Super accessible site with plenty of maneuvering room to back in. We are a 43' motorhome with attached 22' trailer and we fit without issue. We did put 2" of boards under our rear axle to aid in leveling because it has a slight downslope to the back but that was it. No inconvenience whatsoever.
Overall, we loved this park and site. Perfect for big rigs like us!

This is a great level site for big rigs and it has great view of the water. Sites are spaced nicely.
We loved this park. It's pretty, well-kept, and has a private feel. It's big rig friend and easily accessible. When you enter off of the main road, there are signs that say 10ton limit but that makes no sense because of the size of rigs at this park. We believe this is for the local golf club and facilities there. Fret not, just drive ahead.

This was the second year we camped here. Last year wee learned to reserve as early as possible. We also scouted the campground for sites we would like to try on future visits. We had a beautiful secluded site (full hookups) in the woods, where we could see the lake through the trees & also close to the restroom. Surprisingly the bugs were not bad. The campground is very well maintained & the staff is friendly & courteous. Our AT&T service was sufficient for streaming the TV & computer. The other campers were friendly, courteous & well behaved. I brought my canoe for some lake paddling. We plan to return again next year. FYI: limited number of "full hookup" sites & the inclines of some sites require additional blocking. HAPPY CAMPING

Traveling on the interstate 57 and needed a place to sleep, shower (across from site C59) and make dinner. Location is perfectly located off the interstate on a beautiful lake. Price was right @ $18 Cardinal loop (no water) and slept like a baby. We booked it from our phone 5 min before pulling in. I will gladly pay $18 a night for a safe, quiet site with electricity and shower.
