Gun Creek is one of our favorite campgrounds. We camp there for two weeks at a time to go fishing. Catfishing in June and then crappie fishing in November. Gate people are very friendly. Nice big sites. Though some sites are very hard to level off on.

The site was noted as having a severe slope, having a septic smell and close to a road with traffic noise, we had booked just a few weeks in advance so we just grabbed what we could! NOT TOO SHABBY IMO! Yes, there was a severe slope, but we still got close in a 29' TT. Yes, there was a septic smell when you walked past the septic but not anywhere else on this site. Yes, there was traffic noise, but you honestly can't tell the difference between that and a boat if you weren't looking. I'm sure they may have been "better' sites, but I honestly wouldn't hesitate to pick this site again!

Beautiful camp grounds. We were nestled in the pine trees just off the lake making for the perfect morning coffee view. Bathhouses are clean and well lit. If you have kids, there are 2playground areas and easy biking roads.

We camped at Gun Creek for 10 days and the grass was never mowed. It has been the second time that the grass has been out of control. It was ridiculous and the bugs and spiders crawling around in the high grass was crazy. My husband went and got a weed eater to take it down some around our picnic table and fire pit. I was afraid for my grandchildren with the size of some of the spiders we saw. Not sure what the problem is about mowing but we have decided that we will need to bring our own mower next time to be able to enjoy our site. We love camping there but that has become a problem.
