Site 56 is not a usable site for RV camping. Way too much of a slope. We came off the road after a 400 mile day and high 90 degree temperatures and, even after unhooking our 5th wheel camper, could not get close to being level. So we slept that way for the night. My wife is handicapped and could barely walk in the RV.
So, no, this was not a good experience for us.

We stayed at Gun Creek, in site 95, for 2 nights while visiting area attractions. It is well maintained and convenient to the interstate.

Great campsite 50 amp, water, sewer. I made the reservation the day of at the check-in station. Lady suggested this site. She was very helpful

It was my first time camping at Gun Creek. The handicap site was too narrow for my camper and wheelchair. The shower house was clean,but lot of dead bugs on the floor. The campground host was very friendly and answered all my questions. Site 16 was the site I was on. I will be back just on another site.

This was just an overnight stay for us but would like to have stayed longer. I picked site 9 and it was dead on level. Bathrooms were nice with separate rooms. Lovely setting amongst lots of trees. Can’t beat the price for senior NP pass with electric. Very well kept landscape.

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. Turn left onto Gun Creek Trail/Larry Foster Parkway, then right onto Golf Course Road. Continue 1/2 mile to park entrance.
