Gun Creek has great facilities in a great location. Full hookup sites are a plus. Rend Lake area has so much to offer. We had a great two weeks!

Wonderful campground! Our 7th COE and we loved them all! We were only going to stay 1 or 2 nights but had rig problems so we stayed 6 nights! We were in the FHU loop, on the water and it was a wonderful place to get stuck! We will be back!

The overall campsites are excellent rest rooms shower houses are keep very clean! Nice play ground for the Kids

The Campground was very clean , the beach was wonderful, and the bike trail was very nice.

Gun Creek Campground is an awesome campground. Campground Host and Gate Attendants were very friendly and helpful. One night a very bad storm was coming in, and the Host went around each campsite to warn of them upcoming storm. Bathrooms were very clean and grass was mowed while we were there. We love the location because it is the closest campground to the fish cleaning station at a local bait shop. Gun Creek is our first choice of all of the Rend Lake Campgrounds.

We always enjoy our time at Gun Creek and will certainly be back. However, this review is more of warning to fellow campers. Be aware of your surroundings as there are A LOT of skunks throughout the campground! In a one hour evening walk, we saw 6 then had one try to pass through our site around 10:30 pm so 7 were counted in total.

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. Turn left onto Gun Creek Trail/Larry Foster Parkway, then right onto Golf Course Road. Continue 1/2 mile to park entrance.
