Gun Creek is our favorite home away from home. Always quiet, our kids are able to ride their bikes without worry. Never a bad experience at Gun Creek.

I always enjoy my stay here, and this visit did not disappoint. In recent years during weekends, though, I have had issues with campsite crowding by visitors, boat trailers and cars parked on the grass, etc. Hoping there's an upward swing to preventing this and keeping the grounds in good shape.

Nice and shady lot - BUT the picnic table and fire ring were in an awkward place.

We were on site 43. There was such a drop off from the pad to the ground it was a hazard. Especially since my husband has bad knees. The issue should be addressed. Other than that it was lovely.

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. Turn left onto Gun Creek Trail/Larry Foster Parkway, then right onto Golf Course Road. Continue 1/2 mile to park entrance.
