Clean sites, not too close together. Clean restrooms. We are traveling through, so only spent one night. The nearby lake and park is very nice to visit.

Well...the picture shows a beautiful sunset on Lake Michigan. I was able to see such a sunset after settling into my campsite at Dunewood Campground. Unfortunately, it required a 30 minute walk from my site to the beach!
I wasn't expecting it to be right on the beach, but it was a much further distance than I expected. I should have brought my bike! The campground itself was pleasant and peaceful. Ranger was staffed at the station when I arrived and checked me in. Bathrooms were VERY clean! Small convenient store/gas station at the entrance.
Just be warned the beach is at least a mile or so away!

Easy access to beaches and trails. Relatively quiet considering the proximity to highways. Nice shaded and cloistered campsites.

- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.

- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
