I was just passing through so I didn't have time to explore. However, book a spot well ahead of time. Beautiful woodsy rv spots and wicked nice people.

It’s a nice campground. The showers weren’t the cleanest, but the sites were very nice. There is a train you can walk to that can take you to Chicago. That also means that you will hear the trains throughout the day.

nice beaches nearby and a great proximity to chicago. i arrived late after the office was already closed, and a very nice park ranger came up to my site and helped me check in. i'd never heard so many cicadas in one place when i woke up. a very good experience overall.

Campsite backed up to a swamp. We were getting swarmed by mosquitoes. Decided not to stay. Did not like the park or campground.

Although some areas of the park were closed because of storm damage , we enjoyed hiking in the Great Marsh and at a prairie in Griffith. Recommend visiting all the nearby Lake Michigan beaches. Bring bug spray for mosquitoes in campground..
