Great campground and awesome beach and sand dunes. We love coming here, and the wood fired pizza truck just outside the campground doesn’t hurt. Nice bathroom/shower facilities and the camping host couldn’t be any nicer.

Beautiful campground tucked into a wooded oasis even though major roads nearby. Very clean, welcoming staff. Campground is walking distance to great trails, architectural tour, a restaurant and stores.

Easy to make camping reservations—I did so in advance. Dunewood was clean, and rangers/staff were friendly and helpful. Great experience, but gave 4 stars due to lots of standing water at campsite… think that attracts mosquitoes even more. Bring lots of bug spray. We cooked most of our meals, but did get takeout from Pizza Terra one night—highly recommend! We hiked the Miller Woods Trail, which was beautiful, and we were nearly the only people at Miller Beach, also beautiful! We also spent time at West Beach so the kids could swim with more people and lifeguards nearby. Indiana Dunes beaches are great, and we appreciated how they were very natural and relaxing—not commercialized.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- All visitors must have a valid entrance pass, which can be purchased on arrival or in advance.
Site capacity
- Each campsite can accommodate up to 8 people.
- Guests can stay for a maximum of 14 days within any 30-day period.
Site types & loops
- Tents and equipment must be placed on the designated camping pad.
Vehicles & parking
- Vehicles must be parked on the paved area of the campsite.
- Park in the Lake View parking lot, not in the Town of Beverly Shores' beach parking lot to avoid tickets.
Safety & rules
- Observe daily quiet hours to respect other guests.
- Keep valuables out of sight in your vehicle to prevent theft.
Pets
- Pets must be on a leash (up to 6 feet) or caged and attended at all times.
Fires & fuel
- Campfires are restricted to fire rings, and you must provide your own firewood.
