Crooked Creek Campground & Cabins

Our group really enjoyed camping here. We stayed in the electric rv site which was very spacious with a fire put and picnic table. I like the trees that bordered the sites for privacy. The owner Don and his employees are so helpful and kind. They transported our kayaks for us for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be back to enjoy the pigeon river here 😀

Awesome campground. Frank is an amazing host and is always ready to help out with whatever you need. He’s a genuinely good guy. I had a month stay at the campground and it was a very nice experience. The new owner is a very nice gentleman as well and I believe he’ll make this campground even better than it is right now. Awesome location, easy access to the river and the fish and wildlife area, and a great place to view the stars on a clear night.

Overall really good. The wife and husband who owns the camp have been really nice, and they are understanding of any issue like dying phone and charging in office, or not reading a rule on website.

The office is where to pay and register. I called to reserve my spot to come by at night. There's good stuff like ice, beverages, trinkets, and random 2-in-1 gadgets like fan and phone holder.
The restroom is cleaned, but it isn't the best chemicals or process by a professional so the bathrooms doesn't look cleanest from water minerals, pipes, and...public usage of shower and restrooms. I recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops to wear in the shower, and your own chairs or something to hold your stuff from floor.

In future, there needs to be sign, or perhaps adjustment on the campsite locations not to have cars and volleyball court so close. I was super scared of my car getting hit by kids playing baseball as there was no paper policing who is response.

What an accomodating guy the owner Don is, not only did he make us feel super welcome on the phone prior to coming to camp but went out of his way to get us all situated at our site. Then actually offered his own personal kayaks and took us up river in his vehicle to launch us! I can't say enough of what a great guy he is and what a beautiful serene setting this campground is! I HIGHLY recommend staying here!!

Great location for adults. There is no playground equipment, so not very many children are running around. Easy access to Pigeon River for kayak and canoe trips. Great place to sit around a fire and visit with friends. Will be back again.
