Mystic Waters Family Campground

This is a beautiful property. Check in was very pleasant with Gracie at the desk. The bathrooms are very clean. Many things to do while staying here from fishing to swimming to kayaking to sand volleyball to many more things. There is live music on certain nights. There are three lakes and lots of trees. Very beautiful as they change! As I took my doggie for a walk around the lake, we stopped by the lodge and Gracie gave him a dog treat. There are tent sites and cabins as well as rv sites. Overall, this was a great place and we look forward to coming back.

A group of my friends and I tent camped here at sites 9 and 11, over the weekend. We really enjoyed it. Pretty nice being right by the water and being able to fish. However, not too many fish in there because it seems most people have the same idea of fishing from their campsites. The couple of downsides here was that the highway is close and pretty noisy. Also, not many trees or shade. Everything else was great. The friendly staff, the decent bathrooms, and all of the amenities. This place has a very nice large backyard area with a variety of games to play, lots of seating, a couple of gas grills to use, a small beach area, a camp store and lodge, and even some paddle boards and kayaks available to rent. There was a hayride and Halloween decorations around the campground. It was conveniently located for us to visit Mounds State Park and Indy Scream Park.

I've never been to a cleaner, more fun campground than Mystic Waters. The bathroom was nicer than some hotels I've stayed at. My group had a ball playing ping pong, tetherball, ladder golf and foosball, and the shuffleboard was especially impressive. The music, both live and from the jukebox, made me feel nostalgic. Wendy was a great host - such good energy during our whole stay.

We had a lovely stay in one of the beach front rustic cabins. The air was nice and cold, cabin clean and cozy and the kids said the beds were comfortable. We brought our king sized air mattress and had plenty of room to move around. We loved that they provided water floats, along with paddle boards and canoes. We had a blast listening to karaoke Saturday night, and the ice cream is yummy. While we didn’t partake in the coffee truck, we thought it was awesome that was available right by our cabin. We would highly recommend a visit to Mystic Waters Campground.

I just finished my second weekend at this campground this year. The first was a long weekend tent camping for a 2 night concert at Deer Creek for a band I have followed back and forth across the country. I have a group of 15 or so friends that camp for the concerts, and we all became enamored with Mystic Waters. Lisa and Brent are the owners and completely made us feel at home. Anything we needed, they delivered and more. This past weekend, I brought my dogs, some girlfriends, and we stayed in one of the air conditioned cabins. It was a completely different, but just as amazing vibe. I could use so so many words, but instead I hope the pictures speak for themselves. I’ll be back, and you should go too!
