Bridgeview is well maintained and park volunteers are very helpful.

This campground is beautiful with both mature trees and open spaces. We were under big oak trees with tons of shade. CoE campgrounds are always my first choice because they are well maintained, convenient and beautiful. We toured the other CoE campgrounds and they were also beautiful. You can't lose at any of these CoE campgrounds.
There are lots of conveniences around the lake but we don't have a boat so our options for entertainment were limited. We had just spent 3 days near Yankton SD where there are many entertainment options so we were expecting more at Iowa's largest lake. The fish hatchery, however, was closed and the marina was just confusing. Signage at the marina was very poor so we weren't sure where to go for what. We also couldn't find a winery or brewery nearby but did find a nice town square in Centerville.
We probably won't go back to Rathbun simply because we don't have a boat. I do, however, recommend this campground and all of the CoE campgrounds around this lake.

Everything was good but the road going into Honey Creek got tar all over our truck, boat, and boat trailer
