Tailwater West was a great campground. We only stayed for 2 night, but I wish we had a longer stay. Great things to do in the area and lots of wildlife. Sites were large, with electric and water hookups. Very clean campground.

We stayed at T17 which was closest to the water. We were so pleasantly surprised with the site and the nice shade in the late afternoons or evenings. There was a restroom facility, but it was a basic one like for people coming for park day use. The showers were really far up the hill (definitely would have to drive), and there was no laundry facility. All in all, it was a nice stopover place for us for a few nights when we had to reroute due to severe wildfire smoke.

Nice location and well maintained. Our only concern is the temperature setting for the water in the showers. It was set really high and there is no way to cool it down. This might be nice for late Fall/early Spring camping but for any kind of Summer camping it was way too hot.
