The site we chose was super shady which is a must for me and with that, some campgrounds will have a lot of debris. Our site was clear and maintained. The restrooms were great. During our stay they were quite clean, spotless. You have all private bathroom that include a shower. And very spacious. We utilize the trails during our stay and within the area, there are quite a few trails.

The campground was well cared for. The sites were a bit close together but not horrible. At least they were surrounded by grass where we were. The shower houses were nice and clean. Plenty of space to roam and ride our bikes. We enjoyed our time there.

Excellent care at this campground - always clean and well kept. Newish bathrooms are a big plus.

Best camping of the summer! Just across from the restrooms (really great ones I should add!), yet my spot was somewhat isolated and quiet. The weather was perfect! We saw lots of hummingbirds and our favorite groundhog. Family took us out on the Lake in their pontoon, and we had awesome food around the campfire. We even got in an 18 mile bike ride in and around IC/Coralville!

Love camping at West Overlook. There is direct access to the water and you can also walk to Linder Point where you can get on hiking trails. The only negative is that the showers must have some sort of water filter that makes the flow VERY weak, more like a dribble.

From Interstate 80 (Iowa City, IA) take Exit 244 towards Dubuque St./North Liberty. Travel north on Dubuque St. for 3 miles and turn right onto West Overlook Rd. NE. Travel on West Overlook Rd. NE for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign take a slight left turn. The entrance to the West Overlook Campground will be located straight ahead.
From Interstate 380 (North Liberty, IA) take Exit 4 towards North Liberty. Travel east on W. Penn St. for 2 miles and turn right onto N Dubuque St. Travel south on N Dubuque St. for 1.9 miles, at the traffic circle, continue straight onto Dubuque St NE. Continue traveling south on Dubuque St. NE for 1.8 miles. Turn left onto West Overlook Rd. NE and travel east for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign take a slight left turn. The entrance to the West Overlook Campground will be located straight ahead.
